Once upon a time....

....a long haired hippy boy decided to take his czech friend on a horse ride. When they arrived the hippy boy immediately was smitten with his bossy wanna be cowgirl guide. Every time she yelled at him, "Pull his head up!" "Don't let him eat!" "Kick him, no, really KICK HIM!" It was like music to his ears. Little did the hippy boy know that the wanna be cowgirl thought he was pretty cute, for a dirty hippy kid. They went their separate ways and thought no more of it.
A few months later the wanna be cowgirl went to a party and saw her long haired hippy. She saw him again on New Years Eve and they shared a kiss at midnight. That very night the hippy boy confided, "I like you alot." The wanna be cowgirl giggled.
After that they were inseparable. She helped nurse him back to health that year from a broken pelvis to broken wrist's, separated shoulders and two broken heels.
Once he was all better they shared many interests. They went jeeping, mtn. biking, horseback riding, rafting and rock climbing. They visited New Orleans and Alaska.
After a year and half the cowgirl said to the hippy, "So are you gonna marry me or what?" A month later they were engaged on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River and 3 months later they were married.
Four years later and they have a home, a dog and a baby Milo.
And guess what, the cowgirl likes the hippy boy alot too.
I LOVE YOU CODY!
More today than yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that and the day before that and the day................................

Dear Sister

I drove past your house today,
You don't live there anymore.
It was very sad.

Goodbye Welkers

I am so sad to see my sister and her family leave! They are moving to San Diego so Todd can finish his Phd. I have had so much fun with Amber and her kids. She made the transition from working to stay at home mom so much easier for me. I am really going to miss having her just 5 minutes away. But I guess now we have a good excuse to go to California!

Yesterday I was helping her pack and clean and we sat Milo and Lola next to each other on the chair and they were smiling at each other and grabbing each others hands. It was so dang cute (and of course none of us had a camera)!

Don't grow too fast!

Milo is getting big way too fast! I was packing away all of his 0-3 month clothes he has outgrown and it made me a little sad. He definitely isn't a newborn anymore. I am excited about where he is and all that is ahead but I'm trying to remember to enjoy now!

He is getting so strong!

And sleeping in his own room.....

And loves to be in his saucer where he can sit up and see everything around him.
