ONE!

My baby turned one on the 19th. I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by! It has been so much fun and just keeps getting more and more fun.
For Milo's party we had planned on going to the park by our house but the weather didn't want to cooperate. Luckily the Jolley's were nice enough to let us use their home.

My sister, Amber, and I decided that we wanted to do something special for our babies birthdays so we made cakes. It was fun but ALOT of work.
I thought it turned out pretty good for my first one. I even made and frosted all the animals.

Milo was not very excited about the presents, he just wanted to play outside.
Once they were opened he liked them.

His favorite was this ball popper from his Great Grandma Bell.

Milo was lucky to have so many of his great grandparents come.

1 Year Pictures

Milo had his picture taken today by one of my very best friends. She is absolutely amazing! We showed up to the shoot in a rain storm and then Milo turned cranky fairly quickly, but you would never know from the pictures. Seriously she is awesome.

Milo Monster

Milo is now 11 months old and is officially walking. He started out slowly, walking around the furniture, a few timid steps here and there, then one day he just took off and never looked back! This is my favorite age and stage so far. The kid cracks me up. He has a sense of humor now and does the funniest stuff. He fake sneezes just to get an "Oh bless you." He has started blowing kisses, which melts my heart. He snaps his fingers and claps along to "If your happy and you know it." He has mastered the stairs, up and down. He says, "Ma", "Da", "Dog", "Baba" and "Go" as in it where did it go. Even Toby is starting to warm up to him. Milo takes Toby's ball and waddles away as fast as he can just giggling because he knows Toby will follow him. Toby doesn't even mind because its a form of fetch, I guess.
I love, love, love this baby!

Sleep, oh how I have missed you

Milo is finally sleeping through the night. (I can say that if it's been more than 3 in a row, right?) Now I know what some of you are thinking, I should have let him cry it out months ago. He is nine months old after all.
Well, I tried, once.
The night was full of tears (mine and Milo's), frustration (mostly mine) and shouting (mine and Cody's). So I put it off, as I usually do. (I am the worst kind of procrastinator!) I would say, "Next week. Okay, this weekend. Starting Monday".....and so on. Until, finally, Milo decided for himself that he prefers to sleep through the night. So I guess come potty training time, I'll just let Milo train himself. Not really, but how great would that be?

Milo is now officially crawling, which means he is officially out of control! He is into everything and it is so much fun. Everything goes directly into the mouth so I just have to be careful now about what he can reach. He is also standing up on everything. Which is great until he wakes up in the middle of the night and I see him standing in his crib bawling. It melts my resolve everytime. He is also eating meats now, no not really, only when he finds a stray piece of bacon at the Jolleys!

4 Months Old

Don't grow too fast!

Milo is getting big way too fast! I was packing away all of his 0-3 month clothes he has outgrown and it made me a little sad. He definitely isn't a newborn anymore. I am excited about where he is and all that is ahead but I'm trying to remember to enjoy now!

He is getting so strong!

Milo's Blessing

Last Sunday we had Milo blessed. My dad performed the blessing and did a really good job. Thank you to all of our family for your support.

It got pretty windy at the park after the blessing so Milo wasn't feeling very good.

Milo was lucky to have his grandparents and Great grandparents there.

The Finch boys, almost, we miss Uncle Tyler.

My Buddy

I came in the other day and Cody had Milo on the couch and was singing the song from those old "My Buddy" commercials. It was too funny.

More Milo

Milo loves the bath! I think this picture is so funny with his little smile.

This is Milo's "M" he didn't have any birth marks but he was born with this blonde spot in the shape of an M. That's how we knew his name was meant to be!

Milo's First Photo Shoot

I took Milo for his first pictures. My cousin Sarah did them (see my Will Mason Studio link). She did such an awesome job it was hard to pick a few to put on my blog there are so many good ones. I am a sucker for the black and white but Cody likes the color pictures so that will make it even harder to pick! Lola came with us and we did some of the two of them together, but Milo wasn't being very cooperative at that point. Sarah still managed to get some really cute pictures of the two of them.
